Bixology

A project commissioned by HONKNYC to celebrate the life and music of Bix Beiderbecke for the 2023 HONKNYC Festival has grown to not only perform original arrangements of Bix’s tunes, but also music from some of his contemporaries, including: Duke Ellington, Hoagy Carmichael, Chick Webb, and James P. Johnson.

Bixology has brought this music to the annual Sunnyside Queens Bix Memorial Concert, Barbès, Loove Labs, as well as numerous neighborhood open streets and city events.
